new lifters..what should I do to them pre install..

Default new lifters..what should I do to them pre install..

Do I soak them in oil but then won't they maybe bend valves ? What is proper procedure..

I cut the top off a qt of the oil i was going to use to break in the engine and droped all 16 of them in and let them soak for a hour or two no problems here.

So you didn't bleed them after?

Nope put them in the trays and bolted them to the block.

Soak 'em 'till they stop bubbling, overnight if possible, then install.
