Default My new stroker motor

Hey guys. Iv been on this site reading a lot but i have never really posted anything. So i have just bought a brand new ls2 block., Eagle forged rods and crank, and Mahale pistons. A custom cam is in the works. Its a 238/240dur 605/608lift from comp cams. Afr 225's and the fast 92 with 90mm TB are to come and then ill be putting it all in a 2000 c5. i already have the rpm stage 5 six speed and the LS7 clutch. Well just letting everyone know what the plans were.

Sounds like a pretty solid setup, but you're gonna want to get something other than that piece of **** for a clutch.

That's a decent clutch, I run it but have only a 346 with bolt ons. You will probabally burn it up with anything more than street tires

And that is the only reason you like it. Add some more mods, and you will hate it.

alright.. motor update!! The shop in Arizona that i went through to build my motor called me. It was a good call. A customer backed out of a short block after a down payment.. So now im getting an ls3 that has been sleeved bored and stroked to a 427. comes with a cam thats a little bigger than the one i originally was going with, and im goin to run the etp heads instead of the AFR's. such a nice phone call tho.
