Re: are heads worth it?
I would say absolutely yes they are. The only way to take full advantage of them though would be another tune with that cam to dial them in correctly. If you have the money then get some heads, plenty of people in here can show you their dyno graphs as to why heads are worth it.

Re: are heads worth it?
That depends on alot of things
What is ~$2000 plus installation worth to you?
What is 35 rwhp worth to you?
How much more annoying would valvetrain noise be if it got worse?
Are there other things that you will need to upgrade because you will have more power? (12 bolt rear, LS1 tuning, PCV issues....etc,etc.)
I think only you can decide if its all worth "it" to you.

The first two posts are fine examples of the extreme potential of that cam when mated with a set of heads. The third post is an excellent example of what to expect with that cam with no heads. So I am going to say again heads are definently worth it since you have that cam. That cam just seems to REALLY like a freer flowing set of heads. Yeah $2000 dollars is steep but I do not think you would regret spending it after putting down some monster numbers like those.

Re: are heads worth it?
...my ported ls6 heads INCREASED my gas mileage....this was a result on increased compression (10.1 vs. 11.4)
you also get rid of that annoying exhuast rasp...

Another thing to consider is that you can't use milled heads with that big cam, unless you flycut your pistons. If your pistons are already flycut, then slap heads on there and have fun.
