Default arp nut questions...what size exactly, metric or sae

Are arp head stud nuts metric or standard and what size are they?
I also think when torquing my cheap sockets are not cutting it. Should I use an impact in that size maybe? I dont' mean an impact wrench! just an impact socket on my torque wrench..

on the stud kits its a 13mm 12pt socket for the big ones, and 10mm 12pt for the small ones, use an allen wrench and get the studs all the way in just hand tight. found this out the hard way. call me what you will lol

The 11mm stud takes a 3/16" allen wrench and the nut takes a 1/2" socket. I have heard that the nut would take a 16mm 12 point socket as well.

The 8mm stud takes 1/8" allen wrench and the nut takes a 3/8" socket. I have heard that the nut would take a 10mm or 13mm 12 point socket as well.
