Default lifters/ checking pushrods

ok so ive got a 6.0l with a mild 222/222 cam in my s10.
ever since i did the cam/ pushrods/and springs(918) the valvetrain has been noiser maybe 1000 miles but hasn't gotten any louder since i first installed it all.

now im almost finished w/ putting on a turbo but i thought i would check for the proper pushrod length since i didn't originally.

they checked out ok but after i had hand cranked the motor over a couple of times and tripple checked the pushrod length now i can lift the tip of the rocker prob 50 thou. and it feels like the plunger is going down not like there is any free play.

is this a worn out lifter or is it collapsing a little because oil was worked out of it or something?

you prob bleed down the lifter, but still shouldnt be any "free" play(like a solid lifter)-if when you push it down, it comes back, your ok-when you tighten down the rocker bolt, should be around 1 to 2 turns after all play is gone from the pushrod for the preload

you tighten the rockers to 22ft lbs, turn the engine over by hand, and hit them again with 22lbs.

The lifters have bled down, no big deal. Correct installation procedure:
