Default ls6 cylinder heads fit on 98 ls1 motor?
I have a 98 ls1 and i want to put ls6 heads or something similar on but i know the 98's head bolt pattern is different. will the ls6 heads fit??

I am pretty sure the heads will bolt to the block (fit) but the valve covers won't and you will have to get the coil brackets for the ignition coils to bolt to.

Yes they will fit. As mentioned above the valvecovers are the only difference in bolt pattern/design. You will need to covert over to a center-bolt valvecover and coil bracket setup when you switch to the 243's.
