What is up with my cam?
Ok, before I get started, car is an 02 ws6 6spd (Full race weight). It made 368rwhp,378rwtq with macs, duals, lid, and pulley, ported tb, I ran a 7.9@89.7 with a 1.91 60ft(on bald nitto drag radials). I since then have added a 8.8 Rear end with 3.73's, a spec stage 3 clutch and a comp cam 222/226 570/570 112lsa cam, comp 918'
s and hardened pushrods. Since then I have dynoed 402/378 and at the track 8.0@90.7 with a 1.98(on bfg drag radials). My question is wtf is up with this. I only gained 1mph from all of those mods and an additional 40hp? Why did I gain no torque? Could this cam just be a top end cam making no power under the curve?? Is it cam swap time again?

Re: What is up with my cam?
Were the weather conditions about the same for the "after" track results. I ran my best time in the winter and then added headers and a cam in the spring and summer and didn't see decent results until the following winter when the conditions were about the same. FWIW.

Re: What is up with my cam?
My guess would be to launch higher, or check to make sure that the ambient conditions were the same when you pulled off your best ET for a more accurate comparo to your latest. Did you get tuned in? and if so, what was your AF when done? does it pull harder in 3rd gear now or feel about the same?

Had that SAME cam 4 years ago.
222/226
566/569
114 LSA
Stock 98 dyno, lid/catback 302hp/320tq
Added JUST the cam, no LTs, no tuning, nothing. Made 330/330 gained 28/10 to the wheels.
Its a baby cam for sure. I added FLPs, and pick up 30/30 across the board
