Default Another Cam thread

I have searched and searched with reflicting results. What I have is a 02 ss A4 with 3.23. Lid, gutted cats and tune. I run a 13.14 @105.4. I am getting ready to do the ls6 cam and long tube headers and y pipe with cutout. The reason I want the ls6 cam is because I am not changing gears or installing a torque converter. To my understanding the ls6 cam will not lose to much bottem end like a big cam. I am planning to have the shift points at 6500 rpms. I will have it fully tuned with hp tuners. What kind of power and times should I see with this setup and Is the ls6 cam the way to go for me. I would guess I am around 320-330 rwhp right now. I would like to see 360+ with addition of long tubes and cam. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks, Jared

the long tubes will make basically the same power, i would stay away from the pacesetter y, go with the tsp ory.

There are better cams for your app. 218/224 on a 115 will kill an LS6top and bottom and still drive on a stock TC. Some guys say a 224/224 are OK on a stock TC but I have never driven one,

My point being talk to a sponsor and I am sure one can spec you a better cam than an LS6 that will be just as driveable and kill it top to bottom. LS6 tends to be a dog low any way so not hard to improve on there. My .02 I'm out........
