Default how much are stock injectors good for in a 2001 auto Z28

at what point in time do you upgrade injectors? will a t-rex cam and heads max out the stock injectors? I am putting in a walbo 255 fuel pump.

Stock injectors I believe are 28's
Injectors are cheap, and with a trex cam and heads you are better off getting bigger injectors,

Im actually in the same boat, Trex and heads,+100 shot. Get some Siemens/mototron 60's, you can find them for around 350. I have the 60's in case I decide on a different setup later on down the road turbo/blower then I wont have to buy injectors again.

you'll most likely be maxing those stockers out.

typically the 425hp range is gonna hit max duty cycle on the injectors.

you should be well over that.

cheapest upgrade if you don't plan much more than that cam and heads setup would be ford 30#ers...at the fbody pressure they are about 36s.

From my experience the 2001-2002 stock injectors can handle upto 450rwhp IF the AFR at WOT is no richer then 13.0, but the duty cycle will be at 100%. I do not like running injectors that hard, so I recommend Ford SVO red tops (30#, 36# on our cars) anytime 400rwhp is expected. My red tops are at 87% duty cycle at WOT with an AFR of 13.0. Hope this helps.

28 lbs/hr * 8 = 224 lbs/hr

224(lbs/hr)/.5(lbs/hp*hr) = 448hp

448hp * .85% duty cycle = 380hp

Would this be rwhp or hp at the crank?

Injector duty cycle is heavily driven by the AFR at WOT, so if you are running rich then your duty cycle will be higher.

This would be Flywheel HP.

This is why the LS2 has bigger injectors. As you can see, the LS6 was already maxing out the injector stock!!!!
