Good, balanced design. The 12:1 static compression with the MS4 cam should give you just about optimal dynamic compression. Therefor you should have torque down low, and power up high, the perfect combination. Good luck with your new budget Monster.

sounds nice, you should hit 475 as a guy on here has a ms3 with prc 5.3 stage 2.5s and put down 475.

If the pistons are out of the hole at all I wouldn't run that 0.030 gasket. You could mill the heads to 59cc and run the 0.040 gasket for 12:1 comp. Should be a killer setup either way. I wish I would have gone the 408 or 370 route when I bought my shortblock.

id have to call john at tsp i cant remeber but i think they dont come outa the hole at all the pistons have -2 valve reliefs in them though they didnt feal it was safe to mill the heads anymore being that their a stock casting and im going to run the motor hard and use a small shot i know the 30 gasket is small but they thought it was a preety safe setup and didnt have any concerns

59 cc and the 40 gasket is what i was thinking but but thats what we came up with i just kinda listened to them and decided what i wanted i dont build shortblocks everyday so i dont really know the safe limits

You are really taking your time and the attention to detail is great. I'm glad to see you are getting it together. How much did the pistons come above the deck? I'm just curious for future reference.
