Default X1 Cam and AFR 205s

been searching around reading found a few things but not ready to set my mind on anything yet.

my friend wants to get rid of his 62cc afr 205 heads was wondering how would the mti x1 cam (230/227) go with it.....it should make more power than the stock 241 heads i have on there now but the reverse split and AFR's..what do you think mods are in sig'

also i have seen the prc terminator heads with mti x1 cam good numbers. and the prc heads only have a 5 cc difference on the intake runner and a couple of thousandths on the valves

PRC Term Heads...200cc 2.021in. and 1.575ex valves 62cc chambers

AFR 205s ..........205cc 2.020in. and 1.600ex valves 62cc chambers

maybe im missing something

yeah man, there is a guy who made sick power with the TSP terminator heads and the X1. i also seen 1 guy on here with the same setup and made 450RWHP i believe. i think it was a vette he had. im running the X1 and looking at the 5.3 heads or just going all out with the AFR 205 which is what patrick G, suggested.

How much are you making with the X1 and the FAST?

As far as the heads go, do it! I'd like to have either of you be my test dummies! lol TXZ28 and I have almost identical cars, (cam, converter, built tranny, etc) so I'm just waiting on him to buy the damn heads. Hurry up!

Not to hi-jack this, but how do you like the 3.73's with the X1 (TXZ28)

The car has never been fully tuned yet but the a/f at WOT is spot on 12.8 12.9...it was only strapped on a land and sea dyno one of the most power robbing dynos I've ever been on. Example my buddys gto make 434hp on a dynojet and he ran on the dyno the same day as me and dynoed 399.9hp..

But my friend is selling them of his car because I beat him.lol.he has everything except a ewp...

If this cam does not work well with these heads ill sell the cam to my brother and just do something of a cam for stupid power.

AFR's generally like exhaust bias from what I have seen on here. I have seen some cams Tony speced and IIRC they had about a 4* bias like a 228/232 etc..

Why? Do it right the first time.

As state above, AFR's like traditional split cams. Let Tony spec something out for you based on which heads you use.

^^^This is good advice. A very popular AFR grind is the 224/228. Excellent low and mid range numbers. We offer custom ground cams as well.

Why not try it with the 230/227? I say do it, and if you don't get the results you want swap it out. The you can sell the X1, and put that money towards a different custom cam. Let us know asap when you get results.
