Exclamation Question about Ls1

I just bought a 2002 SS Camaro with 10,300 miles on it and heard around that an engine doesn't quite have its full power yet till it has 20,000 to 30,000 miles on it because it is not fully broken in yet. Just wondering if this is true and how many miles till it is fully broken it?

Never heard of that before. Every manual I've ever read stated 500-1000 miles as the break-in period. I can't imagine it taking an engine 20K+ miles to get broken in. At least I hope not......see sig!!

Who ever told you this is nuts! Your car is well broken in. Btw it seems like you just about to start getting informed on this wonderful engine, so read read and read there is VERY helpful information on here and to start off change your oil every 3k-4k miles with Mobile 1 fully synthetic or German Castrol with a good K&N filter or M1. enjoy your beast! and happy modding.
