What do i need to make 450rwhp?
I have a 2000 camaro z28 a4. I have some recent mods. True dual exhaust, CAI, MAF, pacesetter long tubes, 3.73 gears, and a ls6 intake manifold. I really want to hit 450rwhp but i really do not want to change out the cam. How much h.p will the trickflow specialties tfs heads give me with out a cam or with a mild cam will i come any where close or no.

Well i want to get a cam but not a huge one. I really dont want to change the stall converter but if i have to i dont want to get a big one i drive it in the street alot and i just dont think a big stall would be good for that because wouldnt i burn out everywhere. I foundd this package how much will it give me to the wheels and how big is the cam because i know nothing about themhttp://store.summitracing.com/partde...0&autoview=sku

Do a search this has been explained a million times.
You will need a mild cam and good heads in order to hit 450. Along with this you'll need supporting mods as well... do a search and you'll find all your answers.

A healthy stall should be done before internals and big enough to grow into with heads and cam in mind. I had an intake headers and other boltons installed this year, but when my vigilante converter was installed it made me the happiest by far. If you go with a top shelf coverter it will drive almost as good as stock until you get into it. It puts you into your powerband much quicker. Having a cam without a stall would be sloppy driving around and you would grow tired of it. 450 rwhp doesn't mean anything if you can't use it and can't plant it. I would really advise changing the direction of your mods. I don't know what you have for suspension but that will also help the way your car gets off the line. Bolt on power with these cars is incredible if you have it all working for you. Just something to keep in mind.

you are gonna need all the bolt ons for sure!!!!! like already mentioned it will be tough to make an A4 automatic make 450rwhp!!! im stock heads with a mild cam and made 395rwhp!! so even with heads i might be at maybe 420-430 maybe? if i were u i would just go with the TFS heads and vindicator cam from vengeance. i think they did this setup on an auto and made just around 450!!

Spending $2,500+ on TFSs without the cam to nesesisitate the extra head flow doesn't make much sence to me. Your definately going to have to expand the extensiveness of your mods if you are determined to get 450rwhp out of a stock cube ls1 and stay n/a. Think about it this way, you are trying to add about 150rwhp to your car over stock form, its going to take more than just a few bolt ons and heads to get you there.
As said before you should definately get a stall before getting a cam. A good stall is a must for any A4. If you want to make 450rwhp while staying as close to stock as possible a shot is your best way to go. Read the stickies, they help ALOT.
