Default Need your opinion on this cam

I am thinking about getting a GM stage 2 cam and was wondering what you guys think. 227/239 .551/.551 112 what kind of road manners would a cam like this have? I am looking for good low to mid range power and torque. This is a street car and I want something fun to drive everyday and not gonna shake and shutter too much at lower speed and rpm. BTW it will be on a 2004 GTO with stock 243 heads and LT headers and a tune of course.

thanks.

looks like some oddball old tech grind.

i'd go with something a bit more proven...like the 228R, or even the 224 if you want to stay small.

thanks for the reply. It was designed as a hot cam for the LS7, is supposed to work pretty well on other LSX motors as well, so I don't think it can be that old, but not sure? I'm sure it is not the greatest technology, but I can use the LS6 springs i've already got to run it so that is one reason I am interested.

Anyone have any idea what kind of horsepower and torque it will make down low? I don't want to have to spin the motor way up high anytime I want it to make any power.

If you don't want anything too big look into the Futral Motorsport F-2 cam on a 114 lsa. Very good streetable cam that makes ton of power. I'm running their f-11.
