Did a cam swap. How much end play should there be?

Did a cam swap. How much end play should there be? Im putting my motor back together. Today I put in the new cam and timing set. Then I noticed the cam had about .100 of end play in and out, is that normal for a 6.0L block. The original timing chain broke. So im doing a head/cam swap. I have the retainer plate TQ to spec and the new dual timing set in place. Any help would be great.

Could be one of three things.
1. Mis-machined cam such that the undercut on the cam is too deep.
2. Worn cam retainer plate, inspect both sides (although this would be a lot of wear).
3. Mis-machined/wrong upper timing sprocket.
If you mount the stock sprocket, does the clearance problem go away?

The timing sprocket that was on the car is an aftermarket comp cam single, the one i just installed is a Rollmaster Dual. I have not put the comp one back on to check.
Comp Cams cut the Custom cam for me this last week. How deep should the under cut be?

alright guys! I found the problem, the cam gear was not tightened all the way down. Thats what I get for stoping and going to dinner with some friends Thanks for all the help.
