Default Opinions Please

Hey guys finally started on installing the heads now, but i have been thinking about installing a new cam maybe a 228r(my choice right now) or torquer 2 idk yet but have a good opportunity to do it right now so what do yall guys think?

Not a lot of difference between the two really. The 228 will have a little more down low and the TV2 will prolly make 5-7 more up top.

Agreed^^^ Also if you havent, you may want to throw in a new set of lifters and new lifter trays while the heads are off.

He is right..... now is the time and LS7 lifters and LS2 lifter trays will only set you back about $150 or so + shipping. Well worth the peace of mind IMO.

Oil pump and timing chain while your at it if you decide to do the cam.

im going with the 228r, was wondering if texas speed sells the LS2 lifter trays didnt see it in their website?

Give them a call, or PM one of the guys. They just made a post recently telling someone that the trays were in stock.

They will, when I built my moter I got A LOT of stuff from them, they have alot of little thing they dont list on their site.

hey guys there is a guy here in town thats trying to sell me a cam the specs r 234/238 576/586 on a 114 it has 1500 miles on it is it to big, bad, good or should i stick with 228r plan. Any help would b good.
