Cool

so i e-mailed edelbrock because god forbid they answer the durn phone. I recieve a automated return e-mail telling me they will reply to my e-mail in the order of recieved e-mails which means it could be a while i guess. I asked them the question above and told them if they didnt know the answer to send me a cover free and ill find out for them lol Anyways ill update as soon as i find anything out.

LOl, still no reply from edelbrock. I was told by g-force that for a ms3 camshaft i only need a single roller timing chain. I will probably just go with that then. I am still curious if edelbrock will ever get back to me. The guy at g-force told me that when dealing with edelbrock if your on hold for only an hour your luck is good.

Exclamation Their reply

So i checked my mail just now and what do you know edelbrock finally replied. They said a double timing chain would not fit under their cover and that their was not "adaquate" material for clearancing. So the answer is Freakin no. While that was dissapointing i found out from g-force that a single roller timing chain would be adaquate for a ms3 cam so i will just go with the single.

just buy the chain, you dont need anything else, unless your sprocket is jacked up.

$20 or so for the chain.

A melling Oil Pump is different than the stock one? It didn't look different to me when I put mine in..

I'm pretty sure you can get that Cam Gear out of there to pull the Cam..otherwise they wouldn't have made it.

I agree though, I would change the Oil Pump while I was there..

My edelbrock intake/elbow/tb clears the stock hood? And their cover DOES fit over oil pumps, just not aftermarket pumps, or aftermarket chains.

Gents, I'm currently going through the same issue trying to fir the 2 piece cover over a dual Cloys chain and a melling high flow pump. I've grinded both the bolts on the pump and the inside cover as well an nearly there. I going to try and add a second gasket to get clearance. I'll let you know...

Someone suggested putting the stock cover or change the pump to stock and grind as well but that will be me next step.
