Default Help with cam setup!

im 16 and looking for my first cam on my z28 i plan on getting long tubes,ls6 intake,and a borla setup.

my brother is running a g5x4 on a trans am with stock ls1 heads and hasnt had ptv clearance problems, i was looking at the t rex cam and wondering i would have ptv prblems?? i know its bigger but im beraly getting my knowledge up about all this stuff. Give me some pointers and tips on a good setup.

Bigger is not always better Stay in the low to mid 230's any more and your killing TQ.

go with a 228r from texas speed i got the torquer v2 and like the top end but i think i may have over cammed it alittle with no injectors or intake on the car dont go big you'll regret it

Your not going to want a Trex cam for your daily driver. Good cam but not for a stock daily driver. Look at something in the mid to upper 220's on the intake, no more than about 230. That with a good tune and you should have a fun street car.
