Default Lifter Help ????

Hey guys, cant decide on the lifters. The cam is a 239/254 .605/.612 , 114ls. Its in a 370 and im going to spin it around 7k. Im thinking about the LS7 or maybe the CTSV lifters from SDPC. Think its a good choice? thanks in advance....

I've seen both fail, actualyy I've seen all lifters fail. Point is they will both work, my advice is to change holding cups, those are like a gasket, always change them.

Becareful on newer style LS blocks and LARGE cams, the "oil band" on the lifter might not be correct for the block or work with a HUGE cam, causing oil pressure issues.

Or easy to get. Apparently they are on national backorder. Have had some on order since end of October and they are telling me December!

Tell me more on this oil presure problem...Is it due to the location of the oil galley in the block, or is it the oil band on the late model lifters? I havent heard of this. The cam is only .615 lift, think it will be ok? Also i am using new lifter trays and probly the LS7 lifters for the price...

It's the lifter oil band itself. Like I said, there a cases where a guy uses a 259/267 .644/.644 with a comp #850/crane #10530, etc.. and has an oil pressure issue. That's why there are taller body(long travel lifters) designed for this issue. NOT to many people have run into this yet.
