I have the hotcam with some other bolt on mods and no drivability issues, The only issue I have is a slight hunting for idle on a hot start for approx. 30 seconds. I have not yet drilled the TB.

Mine hunts a little, and surges occassionally under 1500 rpms. Only at very light or no throttle periods, never under load. It is still untuned. It ran 13.25@110.26 on street tires (Michelin XGT Z4), I was leaving the line at idle (clutch is weak), and the air temps were 95+ with high humidity.

Mine hunts a little and and very occasionally dies on hot starts. I am on 100% stock tuning and havent even drilled my tb blade. I only have a couple bolt-ons and check out my times. It is important you get LT headers or else you will not gain much from this cam. Overall it is an excellent cam for the buck. Sounds real good too.

Have you thought about the TR220? It would make more power and be a better driver than the hotcam. You could probably find one cheap in the classifieds.. *hint*

My Hotcam did not idle well until I tuned it with LS1Edit. Also, mine was running too rich at WOT without tuning.

I kinda think any mod is a waste without tuning it in right.... It's hit and miss. Some people get "lucky".

Maybe spend this months money on LS1edit... Then go for other stuff later.

Tommy

BTW - I love my Hotcam!

Levi, Great to hear from you again man. Yea I am working on it. I just waiting on somebody to go "in" on it with me to help reduce cost. I plan on getting it as soon as possible and it would be awsome if you and Alex could net me 2 more mph. I have hit 112mph a couple times but I only run 111mph consistently. To hit 114 would be fantastic.

Yeah, if you hit 114MPH that's FLYIN' with that setup, I think with the ASP and tuning it'd be no problem.
