Best undercurve cam?
I have a 2000 M6 and was thinking about upgrading cams. I currently have the stock heads and was wanting a cam for lower rpms and torque. My goal for the car is proably street/ strip, that is driven on the weekend. Nothing radical I was thinking maybe something near a 228r maybe slightly bigger. Any input would be appreciated.

Man I am a member of ls1forums and it would have taken me a week to get this many responses in an hour lol. I have heard the 224/228 is an awesome came how lopey is the idle with lets say a 112 LSA?

So far on a base tune it made 300lbft of torque at 1700rpm.

Anything under 230 should be fine like everyone is saying. A lower lsa will be choppier and more aggressive sounding. Whatever cam you get pay attention to the peak lift and get the proper valve springs and valve train to support. Also better oil pump and timing chain while its being changed. Its more than just changing the cam to do it right.

Try the Lunati VooDoo Line, I have the one in my sig. and it's torquey as hell, they also make a 232/238-.599"/.601"-113 VooDoo that i might be going to this summer. Look under my username for my dyno post and graph.
