Do i need head studs?
so antifreeze is leaking from both heads where they meet the block... i had the motor rebuilt um... about 3k miles ago and i wasnt expecting to have close to 550whp after the build (150 shot and trapping 130 mph) so we put stock type gaskets back on and arp head bolts.... what do i need to keep this from happening in the future, just dont wanna tear the topend apart again.... head studs? what type gaskets?

Are you sure that they are leaking fron that place? I have pushed more than 550rwhp with stock head gaskets and ARP head bolts. Have you checked you coolant tubes for leaks? Sometimes it will leak from there and look like its coming from the gasket.

Thats what abunch of people have said..... only thing i can think of is that they werent torqued to spec...but idk... its coming from the back half of the heads on both sides. the only thing i can think to check would be the coolant plugs in the back of both heads that block off the passages. but its really not a bad leak at all, it wasnt spraying out of the heads either, you couldnt even smell it, it just ran down the block from the heads. drove it 1.5 hrs home after the track and no probs, held fluid, and oil wasnt milky...
