Default best cam for heads and power

ok so im pretty new when it comes to the cams. i was lookin at gettin a head and cam package and i like the afr 205 heads. i got a cam choice of the Ms4, ms3, torquer v2, 233/239, 228r, 224r, 220/220. i want to make the most power i can with out harming the engine. i drive the car on weekends that about it. i got i/h/e. 4.10 rear. what else do i need? pushrod length? springs?

http://texas-speed.com/shop/item.asp...d=205&catid=47

There are many variables you're leaving out when choosing a cam. Will you be street racing or drag racing more. On the weekends are these highway drives or prowling the strip drives. Just to be in the middle I say get the MS3 111-113 (depends on if you ever plan on running nitrous), w/ the PRC Gold .660 springs, ls2 chain and sprocket, ported ls6 pump, cometic .040 head gaskets (if they will clear w/o flycutting w/ the AFRs) hardened 7.400 pushrods, LS7 lifters, and an underdrive pulley w/ belts.

Making the most power w/o harming your engine, as well as driveability, is predicated upon your tune. Get a good tuner and you'll be set to throw in whatever cam you choose! Have fun.

That's a pretty wide range of choices. I say get a Pat G custom grind. He will know exactly what will fit your needs.

Good advice here or talk to Predator-Z.

Your head choice will dictate the cam so pick them out together.
