Question Iron 6.0 In 98 Z28

Ok, I was wondering how difficult it is to put a 6.0 Iron truck motor in my 98 Z28? Do they just bolt right in like the alumn 5.7? Just looking for advice. Thanks

They bolt right in if you drill and tap the last hole for the alt. bracket on the block. If not you will have to get a alt. relocation bracket, which moves the alt. onto the passenger side head.

Oh ok, what do you think of ported 243's on a stock 6.0 shortblock? Good idea or not?

Good idea just watch how much you mill them as the comp ratio will be 10.8 as is due to the flat top piston. Also watch the PTVC with larger cams, may need to flycut.
