Default How far can you mill 243s?

As the title says, how far can you mill a set of 243s before valve shrouding becomes a problem? I have a friend who has a set milled .040 that he will sell me cheap. They would go on my 346 and I am already planning on flycutting the pistons. Would it be worth it if they were cheap enough or should I stay away?

Sigforty is that on a 3.9" bore? What are your cam specs? Anyone else have an opinion?

They are already a 64cc, what are you trying to get? Mine are milled to 62cc to achieve the compression I was after but I also have a built bottom end with big valve reliefs. I was misled when I had them milled or else I wouldn't have spent the extra $150 for 2cc's.

These have 58cc chambers if I did the math right... if they were mine stock there's no way would mill that far but since they're already done I don't have a choice. This would be on a rebuilt 346 lower end and a medium size cam (TR230 230/224 .580 i think). I figure my compression to be around 10.8:1 with stock gaskets and a small flycut.
