Default Looking for feedback on the two-piece timing cover choices...

In the searches, I've seen that the Edelbrock has serious issues.

So that leaves QTP's outrageously priced piece and Nasty's offering.

Any other sources for these? Barring that, anyone have good/bad stories about theirs they want to share?

I'm planning to finally do the h/c on my C5 soon and the two-piece cover will not be optional.

I'd appreciate any input,
Dan

Since you will be removing the stock one when you do the Swap, why not just leave it instead of spending the extra money.

How often do you plan on taking the Cam out..?

I looked at the QTP piece at Carlisle a couple of years ago. While expensive, it is hogged out of solid billet aluminum and was of very high quality. I know that doesn't help with the price, but I don't think its a crappy part either.

The cam I'm going with may simply be too aggressive and I'm doing the two piece cover as an insurance policy in case I end up hating the cam.

Plus I plan to join the Patrick G "Cam of the Month" club.

Hmmmm I hadnt see any of the bad info on the edelbrock. Normally I rarely see anything that has bad fitment or quality from edelbrock (even if it doesnt perform well or make good horsepower etc, it will usually be made well).

What's wrong with the edelbrock?
