Default 227/231 .639/.643 on a 115+3. Thoughts?

Custom cam on LSK lobes my engine builder and I agreed upon for the LS6 I'm having built for my T/A. I know some of you think the LSK lobes are a bit much for the street (its a DD), but I'm using caddy racing lifters and my builder has had good experience with the LSKs.

The heads are the LS6s that came with the motor, ported (I'm not sure of the flow numbers yet, I know it's over 300 CFM on the intake), and intake is SLP lid-85mm maf-ported TB-LS6 intake. Exhaust will be new SLP LTs and dual/dual catback (or whatever SLP calls it now). Cats will be gutted. Stock MLS gasket (DCR on this setup?).

I'm looking for at least 430/400 through the S60, but more is better. What do you guys think of the setup? Are the numbers possible? I searched and didn't find anyone using this cam (found the duration, but nobody on LSk lobes), so I'm looking for any opinions on the setup.

I'm using a 223/227 (ground as 224/228) .636/.639 @112+2 LSK-lobed cam as a daily driven head/cam car and the cam is going very well. Torque is good from low and top-end is nice to say the least. I'll check the valvesprings every 10,000k's is all.

Cheers,

Macca

Wow, you got great tq numbers out of that. That gives me a lot of hope for my setup.

5_02ls1 thought behind the wide LSA was to keep valve overlap to a minimum and hopefully improve MPG given that this is a DD car. I also don't want the idle to completely betray me out on the street.

Well im in California and I cant really have a really loud or lopey car or i will get stopped and get a ticket in a heart beat. Im looking for a more stealth cam that will make good power. Im also looking for Lots of torque and mid range.

dont think the lsks are worth it over xer or xfi...maybe worth 2-3hp at most...i think texas speed even did a test with a cam that had the xfi/xfi and then the same cam with lsk/lsk and saw no gains...

Sounds like a good turbo grind for L92 heads.

I understand why he want's that LSA but I think the power will come in a little late for a street car and prolly carry past his useful rpm range too.

My little cam on 111+2 was still carrying about 413-414rwhp (peak417) at 6500 and the torque finally dipped below 350ftlbs at 6300
