Default can you run bigger injectors without a tune?

long enough to get the car to a shop to tune it?

problem is the shop is about 3hrs drive.

if i kept out of the throttle, would the computer adjust for it? how long would the ecm need to adjust?

or would it cause damage?

oh yeah, this would be goinig from stock to some ~50# injectors.

yes, you can, but it would not be in your best interest. my experiences...

my buddy went from stock 00 ls1 injectors to 36lb on a cam only setup, afr went down to the high 10s, car picked up 2 mph in the 1/4 from a REtune, but ran fine, just RICH before the tune..

i went from stock 99 injectors to 01 ls6 injectors, stock setup - no idea yet, but the car runs fine.

With it running rich you can wash the cylinders and contaminate the oil. If its run long enought like that you could wipe out a bearing.

Bring the new injectors with you and change them out at the shop where you are getting your car tuned. It only takes 30 minutes or so. HTH

yeah kindda figured i could do that.

x2. Had the shop that tuned my car put the new injectors in, they were 300 miles from home so it was pulled there and didn't want to chance washing down the cylinder walls either.
