Default how to test for good spark plug wires?

I know this post could go somewhere else but I figger the most extensive knowledge would come from the internal engine department!

ok, so could I use just a regular old timing light to see if the spark plug wires are sparking, and would the light go on if the spw's are not on the spark plug all the way?, thanks

Well you could do the low tech pour water on them running at nite test & see if you get a light show.
You can test the continuity of each wire end to end with an ohm meter.S/B about 4000 ohms for an LS1 wire.
Or you can get a spark tester & test them one- by- one.
Or you can get into expensive testers.

Wrencher, i think short length of LS1 style wires should be between 2k and 3k ohms. Not trying to split hairs but i just went through this with TAC consultant on proper max resistance of Cadillac Northstar wires, they are much longer and GM wants to see less than 3k resistance.

another vote for the lightshow ....

I actually use an Ohm meter, but I replace them every year anyways.
