Default prc 215 heads??

Ok i have bought a "patrick G" modified torque cam 226/232 .609”/.604” 111LSA +2 xfi lobes.. the cam is spec.'ed to stage 2.5 - 5.3L heads and ported LS6 intake... i am contemplating running PRC 215 heads and a FAST92.. (the ported one from TSP) instead

anyone have any idea what gains i should see over the 5.3/ls6 combo,

am running longtubes, no cats and a true dual 3 inch with x pipe and magnaflows

and should i run speed density, or a large MAF??

the car is a 79 Bu, tranny is built 4l60E, 2600 pro-tourque converter (im also autocrossing it, so i have to run a tight converter), 3.73 (12 bolt) rear

care to take a guess of the at RWHP of the two combos... ballpark figures

Seeing as no one has these heads yet anything anyone tells you is purely a guess. So mine is 25-30RWHP.

IMO you should wait and see the PRC 215 heads I hear some good things about it from the guys at TSP.

Everyone in TSP in Florida wait for them until Monday for some info about the heads.
Oh thire 5.3 stg 2.5 are awesome too.

If your goal is for low 12's/high 11's then the 5.3 heads will get you there. I ran a 12.07 with stock heads, LS1 intake, and a TR230 cam at 3800 lbs race weight to give you an idea of what's possible. There is no doubt the FAST and 215 heads will make more power than the latter, but the extra power is gonna cost you at least 2 grand more.

Very similar to my combo...my numbers are through a 10 bolt running 230* on the dyno, now it runs 176* all the time and has a built 9" but dont have new numbers yet.

that is a good point! ill pull the trigger on the stg 2.5 5.3L heads.. and put the fast on the wish list... a set of drag specific wheels & tires and some varishocks that i can tune at the drags.. will propably do more for my et, as will a 150 shot..
