Exclamation What Heads for my 408???

Been slowing putting together a 408 build. Getting the stock 6.0L Iron block bored to 4.030 this week and then I am going to start on parts..

I live in OK and even though this isn't my DD, I do drive it daily since it gets better MPG's than my pickup. I am putting a 408 together to swap in it and want it streetable . I want it streetable even if I don't drive it everyday.

My problem is, WHAT HEADS?? I am pretty sure on the TSP Giant cam though. And I want around 11:1 compression. Maybe more or less? It's ALL up in the air right now.

I want around 530-540RWHP and right around 500RWTQ.

My advantage is my Uncle and Grandpa run a Custom Engine shop here and they can get parts 25%-30% cheaper than I can off TSP or anything like that with all the Porting and Polishing capability with their shop's machines. Also I will get free labor on putting it all together the professional way. They do high-end build for old and new muscle cars and a BUNCH of the sprint car motors here that put out 500-600HP out of a SBC motor with 5.88 gears around a dirt track

So what heads? Here are some I have been looking at.. Remember I am wanting Around 11:1 compression, maybe more if I can get away with it??

Motor specs.

Bore: 4.030
Stroke: 4.000
Deck Height: ? Stock 02 2500HD 6.0L block
Head Gasket: Up in the air right now, .045 or .055 depending on CR
Pistons: Depends on heads/and CR

Here are the heads. Anything else is possible.. Just want around that CR.. Or better if someone has any more info..

This is the last motor they did for my last DD, 98 Grand Prix GTP motor (bought it with a spun bearing)

I have TSP's 5.3 2.5's and a MS3. dont have any numbers yet....

but they are probably a little small for a 408 to be honest.

If your not wanting to spend huge coin, I'd look into the new PRC 215's.

either way I'd go with a larger runner to get more air to all those cubes.

Anyone with more info? As far as what heads/cam they have and what numbers they put down?

I am really liking the TF 235CC runners and 70cc chambers right now due to the fact its a good sized runner, and with 70cc chambers on a 408 with a little tighter quench (.045 MLS gasket) I will be right at 11:1 CR

Is there a reason why want 11.1 compression. Your going to be running premium gas anyways. Why not shoot for like 11.5 or something, its free horsepower. Just my opinion.

Only have 91 octane available here in OK... 11:1 is not a necessity, Since I am actually basing my build off Mr. Luos's car which is 11:1 CR, 531HP/481TQ on 91 octane. I figured that would be a good starting point... He drives his as often as he wants with no stalling issues, drives it back and forth to the track, to work etc..

Now my car is Not a DD.. But I do drive it daily.. Well lets just say I have other transportation if I choose to drive it.. But the T/A is just so much better!!
