Default Dish/smaller chamber or flat/larger chamber?

I'm planning my engine build for this summer, I'll be putting an LQX in my 93 Suburban. For the first year or so I'm just going to keep it stock, but I plan on doing a mild cam/L92 head swap thereafter.

In planning this out, would it be better to get the LQ9 with the flat tops and just swap the heads later? Or would it be better to do the LQ4 with the dish tops and mill the heads down a little to bump the compression? I'm leaning toward the LQ4 because I've heard the dish can help "center" the combustion and reduce detonation under load (which I'll have plenty of in a truck), plus its a little cheaper initially. However the LQ9 looks appealing because I can swap the 4L65E tranny, computer and engine all out of the same truck with no tuning needed, would make for an easy swap. I'd like to stay away from the 4L80E (which is all that was available with the LQ4) b/c of the extra drivetrain loss.
