95K Miles: Piston Rings bad or do I need thicker oil?
Dynoed the Hawk yesterday with HD and Everyone else...
Had some Smoke coming out around 5000-6000 rpms
AF was in the 13-14 range.
Evil did his best to get my AF right, but it wouldn't come down any. Some issues that could have caused it... I had never changed my Fuel Filter, so I did last night. I was running Mobil 1 (from day 1) 5W30, switched to Valvoline Max Life 10W30 today.
I'm going to try and get new O2s this week, (B2S1 bad) but that shouldn't cause me problems on the dyno, since I'm at WOT right?
I also want to change my PCV, incase that's where the oil was coming from.
Still not too bad, stock cam, heads, manifold and made 330rwhp 337rwtq in an A4 with 95K miles.
(!filter, pulley, Lid, !cats, LM, 373s, 17" hawk rims)
Hopefully I'll be ready for the Oct 4.

Yes, that bad O2 sensor will screw with WOT readings since the computer bases its fuel curves on what the O2 sensor was reporting during normal driving. Could be the rings/valve guides, but I'm willing to bet its the PCV system.

ok, I'll be getting new Front O2s tomorrow.
How long will it take to get good data in the PCM?
I figure I'll clear the codes after I put them in, a day of good driving should do it right?
Also, I pulled the TB off yesterday....good old oil in the intake and on the back of the TB.
The 02s where BLACK too. I mean BLACK.
