Default cam suggestions

so i'm looking at a cam for my car. what duration and lift should i be going with?
car is a 01 m6 ls1. i have long tubes ORY magnaflow catback and some other little things. i would really like to get as close to that 400whp mark NA as i can but i want it to be well street mannered. i do have some spray on the car as well so would i have to keep that in mind as well. this car is more of a summer dd for me its not just a strip car by any means

i found a cam for sale for i thought a decent price here is the ad

I have a fresh re-grind cam to GMPP hot cam specs. 0 miles on cam never been installed
217/228 .525/.525 112lsa. $150
would this be good for my car? what would be i want something that is pretty aggresive without losing good street manners as stated.
i also plan on running some spray thru the car. probably a 100 shot. no more than a 150 shot for sure.

thats definetly not the cam you want. you want something in the mid 230's range..maybe a 228/232, or a 233/239. decent street manners, and with the boltons you have should put you over 400rwhp with a good tune

ok cool. think you could try and explain to me what all the terms mean. i know what is lift and what is duration but what does it control and what is better for what? and what is lsa? i'm a pretty big gearhead but i am just learning at this point so help would be sweet in understanding these terms better
