Default 2000 ls1 bore / flycutt / forging questions please read

I am building up a 2000 trans am and currently have 0 ptv clearance I am wondering what the max amout I can cut out of the piston during flycutting is safely and still hit her with a 75 shot of n02. Also wondering if I cannot cut the pistons safely what will a 3.905 bore yeild me ci wise? is there any benifit besides strenght for going forged? How about rods is there any benifit to changing my rods out? will changing my rods out chyange my ci any at all? I am new to the bottom end stuff and have done very little research but am willing to learn and would like to find out any / all info I can on building the bottom end up some.

changing your rods wont change you comp. unless you go with shorter rods.

forged pistons are stronger.. but they need a loser piston to wall fit.

and if you have NO ptv clearence, you need to remove as much as possilbe... someone else will have to chime in on exactly how much is too much. it will change your str very slightly.

75 shot is small cheese, you''ll be fine.

Something's not right... What cam and heads? I'm running a stock '03 Vette LS-1 with 241 heads and a Torquer V2 cam with 0.598" lift and have 0.200 PTV clearance.

From what ive read you want .080" on the intake and .100" on the exhaust. Are you measuring this with a solid lifter or with a stock lifter? Because a stock lifter can go anywhere from .060-.100 preload. Are you sure you are using the right length pushrods?
