Whats your power goals? Best is headers and a big cam you'll be at or close to 400whp(cheap provided you do it yourself). Search the sites sticky's for best help.

simple cost effective bolt ons...with a custom ram air setup, lid, ported and polished tb, cutout, 25% UD pulley, some mt drag radials, weight reduction...i went 11.72 at 115 stock internal...

that is with complete stock exhaust, cats, manifolds, catback with just a cutout in the i-pipe...do some research before you jump into modding and waste your money...research some of the faster cars and see what they have done...

A cam will run you about $400, springs - $400, gaskets - $100, fluids - $50, tools (renting like $50 from 99blancoss). It's really easy to do a cam swap while the engine is out. You could get patrickg to custom grind you a cam based on your car weight and the rpm is going to be drifting at.

With that goal you'll need boltons and Heads/cam. Good ported stock castings, springs and cam with the usual boltons will get you there or close. For the 500, turbo or Scharger will get you at the 460+ mark with a stock motor and boltons.

Heres a link to the cam sticky https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...cam-guide.html
Since you have a different car you would need custom headers this guy could fab some up for you but it won't be nearly as cheap as if you were buying headers to fit our car.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2gZ25g4KKg he has a link in the info section that will take you to his website. The cheapest way is a cam which you can get used for around 300. A cam around the 228 mark to 232 should get you around 400 with headers of course. In all honesty you need to talk to a sponsor (it's free) about cams and your goals, and if you don't want to buy from them find what they recommend in the classifieds here for cheaper.
P.S that car is going to be a beast stock the only mods the guy I recommened has is headers, with ls-1 manifold. Over 300rwhp and 2600lbs curb weight, your car is going to have no problem going sideways believe me.
