Default Patriot h/c dyno

my 99 ss with the ls6 stage 2 heads and the 225/229 580/590 114lsa NO BOLT-ONS made 360hp 350tq.

I cant post my dyno sheet at this time (i dont know how) the tourqe curve was very nice making peak tq at 4600rpm and peak hp at 6000rpm. this package made excelent power (through stock exaust manifold) and pulls very strong from around 2500-6400.

This is my first cam ls1 car, i kinda wish i would have went with a bigger cam but the drivablilty and gas mileage is great. its a 6 speed car with a 4:11 gear gas mileage in the city is around 18-19 and on trips around 24-26.

I didnt plan on heads and cam before bolt-ons (long tubes) but i ran into some valvetrain problems. The person that tuned the car said with long tubes alone i should easily see around 410-420hp. so i guess we will have to wait and see if hes right because im out of money.

Awesome!

You're saying you did that with an EGR LS1 intake? That's cool.

I have a '99 Z28 that same exact PP cam. I have long tubes, an LS6 mani, and a lid with no tune yet. I also have some stock '04 Z06 243's coming my way right now. Hopefully, I put down good numbers after the heads and tune. I'll let you know how I do in this thread and in PM. Wish i had the money for some aftermrket heads, but i got these for $500 and am broke, so the other $500 or so that it would have taken to buy some PP stage II's wasn't possible.

Mine made 360 to the wheels with a smaller cam, ls1 intake, and shorty headers through an A4.

Get them bolt ons asap. Your setup will be alot happier. I made some good power with a cam similar to yours and the patriot heads.

I think the loudmouth 1 is only bearable if you have stock exhaust manifolds. For headers I suggest any cat back with a real muffler (lm1 has a hollow 'resonator').

Don't worry, the stock 243 heads are the BEST budget head you can buy. Get a good valvejob and they will perform within 90% of what the "budget" portings will do. The as cast ports are really good on those heads.
