Default Hard Black deposits in my oil? What are they?

As said above, the last few oil changes I have had small black deposits in my oil. It doesn't appear to be metal shavings. You can take the small deposits and scrub them between your fingers and it will break up. Does anyone know what this might be? Is it bad? My oil has also reaked of gasoline the past few changes too. What do you guys think?

Might be carbon build up thats passed through the filter. And if your smelling gas in your oil it could be a few things. Rings, emission systems, pvc, off the top of my head thats all I can think of. Im sure someone else will chime in and give you a more solid reason.

I have removed the EGR and air. I'm not sure if that matter or not. I also have noticed a lot of black looking powder inside my exhaust tips. I have corsa clones and the whole inside of them are black. Would this have anything to do with the above?

Running too rich would explain gas smell in oil and excess soot in the tailpipes. Fuel in the oil is tough on bearings. Get that cam in there and get a tune

Sounds like carbon build up. Pop a valve cover & see if the rockers & valve stems are covered in the same deposits. If so, an AutoRX treatment will SAFELY get rid of it. AutoRx can be found on line.

So will my car be allright until I do my cam swap in mid April? Then I will get a tune on it and be able to take a look at everything.

You might have a hole in a piston or a broken or bent valve. How else can carbon get from the combustion chamber into the crankcase? This would also explain the gasoline in your oil. Check your plugs.

Is your PVC system still on the car or did you remove it also?

PVC is still on the car. How in the hell could I have a hole in my piston? The car seems to run fine, what should I look for on the plug that I pull?
