Default bigger valve question

i am trying to install a set of 2.02 intake and 1.60 exhaust valves in my 02 WS6 LS1. is there anything i will have to do in terms of interlocking valve seats? my machinist believes he can just cut them for the bigger valves, but i would like to get some input from someone who has done this before....just to be safe. this engine will not go over 6,400- and will not make more than 480 horse. thanks

The stock seats are 2.02" in diameter. You'd be better off with larger seats from the get go, and for those sizes, I don't think they have to interlock.
