Default Anyone adjust their own valves?

Hey guys. My 98 with 54,000 miles on it is ticking kinda loud from drivers side of the engine. Has anyone adjusted their own valves. I'm thinking of doing it myself, but I know its going to be a pain. Is their a scheduled valve adjustment for our cars? Has anyone had this done at the dealer before? How long did it take how much was it etc. Any info you guys can provide me would be great. HELP!

Could be a bad lifter. Put your ear up to the wheel well, if it is louder there, it is most likely a lifter. Since you have an M6, it may be a bent pushrod as well. Worst case scenario is that piston is starting to score the cylinder and cause a light ticking/knock. Unfortunately, this is a common problem amung LS1s.

Smoke Ford is right... and if I remember correctly, the rocker arm torque is 22 ft-lbs.
