Default X1 or TR230 Pros and cons in a stock head A4

as stated still looking into cam.Im wondering what would be better for me the X1 or the TR230.Im planning on using a 100 to 110 shot of n2o.Just bought an ls6 intake.What would be the best cam for the car so I do not have to upgrade cams when I buy heads next year sometime. Thanks

both cams will get you over or at 400rwhp on stock heads with bolt ons. the durations are very similar just the x1 has more lift.

you cant go wrong with either, both have been proven to make great power.

DO NOT GET X1 IF YOU HAVE MAC HEADERS!!!!! found that out on the dyno today

that lift is just wayy too much for mids

Cut the ball ends off of the macs (big restriction) and replace them with a straight collector. One of the sponsors sells a kit for it. >>>>>>>>>>>>

Plus JMX has a detail on his how to site about hoging out the header flanges area on macs for some increased flow.

I love my X1 with spray. Check my Sig out for numbers N/A and on 100 wet shot! I`m safely tuned for it. Pulled timing and run rich. Better safe than sorry! I love it!!!

sells what kit; the x1 cam can be had from LGMotorsports and the TR230 can be had from thunderacing.

About halfway down, the Mac Ball flange eliminator kit.

Oh and the pacesetters turned out to be a good quality product. Because I put them in a kit car I had to hack and weld a little, but the headers are a good piece overall.

id try that kit but the larger promaries and Y pipe will help with LT as well...

Mac's have a 1 3/4 primary tube diamater, Just like the pacesetters. I have a spare set in the basement and just measured them. But the pacesetter LT's will do better IMO. Good choice.
