Re: Anyone with TR224 Inside please
how much lope do you want? im on the TR230 with a 110.5lsa and it lopes hard . if it were me i'd go with the 112, the 114 will pass smog easier if indeed you need to.
also some 918's or manleys would be fine, im running rev duals on mine.

If you have a stick, go 112. I ordered mine on a 112, and it came as a 111.1 true LSA. I like it though because i can shift at 6400 and save my bottom end because my power comes so much sooner. Also, the TQ with this cam is awesome! You will love it on the street. I went 7.77 @ 91 with this cam on a stock tune, ls1 intake, heads and TB.

Since you have an M6...definitely go with 112 lsa...you'll love the lope ...I am running one in my daily driver...have had it for about 2 months with stock tuning...I also used 918's and TI retainers...

If you want lope and rougher idle go with the 112 LSA. If an A4 or emissions are a concern I would opt for the 114 LSA it will also idle a bit smoother. I am also running BS 918's, titanium retainers and TR hardended pushrods along with my Yella Terra 1.7 roller rockers. My 112 LSA peaks at 6100 rpms and stays flat to about 6350 and I shift at 6400 rpms. The TR224 also has a great under the curve powerband 325 rwhp @ 375 rwtq @ 4500 rpms. Makes 350 rwtq @ 3200 rpms!

I too am considering the same cams... How much sooner will the TQ/HP come on with the 112 compared to the 114? Ideally I'd like a smoother idle but my principal concern is being thrown in the back seat when I step on the gas

Anyone running a TR224 on a 110 LSA? This is what I am thinking of going with. I want a nasty lope, but I dont want to change out the springs every year. Will that still be alright?

Re: Anyone with TR224 Inside please
i went with the 114lsa. the only reason i did is because up here in mass, emissions is tuff. i really would've like the more lopy 112lsa, but no way im changin cames every time i need an inspection sticker.

If your in colonia NJ..I'd go with a 114lsa cam.
Being that your so close to cartek (like minutes) why not go with them.
They do awesome work and can build the motor to exactly meet what every you desire and still pass emissions...
112 won't pass...113 might. 114 should especially if you stay at or under 224..
The cartek guys know thier ****..I'd suggest speaking with them ..(Garwood, NJ)

Re: Anyone with TR224 Inside please
I hear you about cartek but am doing all the work to the car myself. I am not worried about emissions because I have 2 years till my next and I don't have a problem poppin the stock cam and exhaust back on for inspection.
My main concern is drivability with the stock tune and valve springs that wont break prematurely.
I may eventually spring for the ls1 edit but until then I need it to be nice to me with stock tune.

Re: Anyone with TR224 Inside please
Im not a cam expert so i cant get into the fine details of the power coming on quicker with a 112 over a 114 myself. However i did take the advice of those on this board and went with the 112 and im very happy with it. I drove around with it on the stock tune for over a month with really no probs. I set off a code now and then but thats from letting it idle too long. Never had any stalling problems, but it does surge below 1800 RPMS in gear. I just picked up a Predator today and did the basic tune, i will have the problems worked out as soon as James can get to me. Youll love the Cam.

Re: Anyone with TR224 Inside please
Besides a bigger cam what else sets off the PO300 code. I have full exhaust, a lid and filter with smooth bellow and air temp. module. And this code won't go away. I have also changed push rods due to having a bent one and a few slightly bent ones. any help with this situation would be greatly appreciated.
