I was wondering how much power you would lose if you took the specs of the G5X2 cam or similar and gave it around .560" lift instead of around .600"? I'd like a cam with good duration, but I'm not too excited about changing the springs every 6-12 months in my daily driver.

The cam in my sig is big, with high lift, but the lobes aren't too aggressive. Check it out at TSP. They recommend Comp 918's for it.
Good luck!
PS. 6-12 months is a little too often IMO.

Thanks. Did they give you any idea on how long the 918's should last before they need changed w/ that cam?

I'm running the TSP 231/237 with comp 918's and I'm probabaly going to change mine at 25,000 miles. I'll pull one or two at 10k and stick it in a tester to see how it is holding up just to be safe.

Get it ground on comp "XE" lobes and not XE-R lobes.
