Default sounds like fuel cutout?

I had my 2002 ss camaro dynoed today. by mild mods i mean mild, i only have a flowmaster 80 series and k&n filter and just installed the slp lid. almost at the end of each of my 3 pulls on the dyno. i was gettin bad knock. NOT like parts knock but misfire knock. the guys at the shop told me plugs and wires and buy my gas someplace else. really? you guys think a simple tune up would surfice to help this issue. the gas i run is 91 octane 100% gas no ethanol.

Yes some times it can be as simple as a tune up. When I had my car dynoed for the first time after the blower it was running so rich just moving on the trailior, on to the dyno, and 1 pull the plugs were shot. The 2nd pull after leaning it up it was cutting out around 4,500 rpm, threw in a new set of plugs and made a big differance. Change the spark plugs, wires if they are older, fuel filter, and make sure the air filter is clean and not over oiled. Go back for round 2.

i have heard these motors are temperamental about spark plugs. mine ran fine when i got it with iridiums or something in it and now i run tr-55s and it runs fine on them too. some have problems though...
