Default MS4 cam questions, opinions, etc...

i recently aquired a ms4 cam with the dual springs and pushrods....i have been doing lots of researching on it....i have a 2002 ls1 car, 6 spd, 4:10 gears, lt headers etc....all the supporting mods for a cam swap. what i am seeing is that this cam is very healthy on the top but not so much on the bottom? is it going to be less bottom end than i have now or about the same and then kick in up top? i have also read about a 2500 rpm when it kicks in? any info or personal experience with the cam would be great, thanks in advance!!!

I didnt really notice any loss on the low end. You have gears so I doubt you will either. The cam loves the higher RPM range. Youll like it.

ms3 and ms4s are definatly top end cams. at best you will probably stay the same as now on the low-end. Ofcourse, depending on what heads, if any would play a part too.

sounds good so far....one more thing as well....i have searched and searched, you can find both good and bad on this board, lol....my car has 108xxx miles on it, DD right now, will not be once the swap is done, is the extreme lift on this cam going to kill this motor pretty soon? it will have stock heads, but i bought all the prc dual spring stuff to go on them....

thanks in advance
