Default just got ls6 intake what to do along with installation

Is there anything I should do along with installation? I got the coolant bypass pipes. So I'm set for that aspect. Just wondering if there is something I should take a look at or change while the manifold is out.

If you have alot of miles on it you might want to change the knock sensors while you have the intake off.

Be careful of the oil sending unit at the back of engine when installing.

^^^^^x2 I broke that damn sensor when pulling my intake. The big brake booster line is more than likely routed behind it, and you'll snap it faster than **** if you're not careful.

Go ahead and replace the oil sender unit while the intake is out. The plastic on the OEM one gets brittle after so many heat cycles and you don't want to pull the intake again to re-do it. Make sure to buy/borrow the socket specifically for removing/installing the sender.

I would replace the knock sensors and the oil sender while you have it apart.
