Default least expensive good oil pump

who sells the lest expensive, yet quality oil pump? whether it be a ported LS6 one or just a real good quality pump. the cheapest one i've found so far is through TSP for 129.99 for a ported LS6 pump. thanks, Jess

Go w/the TSP ported LS6 pump!!! i had some issues over the last few months w/my 98Z28 M6 losing oil pressure....installed the TSP and im running awesome oil pressure now quality product and good results...
before TSP oil pump 37-38psi at cold idle
after 60psi at cold idle
before pump at warm idle 22psi
after at warm idle 42psi

least expensive, yet quality? OEM. There were some issues with earlier pumps, but the current pumps are great unless you have something extreme in mind.
I think the main cause of pressure problems is the o-ring seal on the pump, so be careful when installing.

Can you kindly give me the phone number for TSP and what is the BEST OIL PUMP that money can buy, if i were to make a switch on my 427 C5R MTI motor, in order to get better oil pressure temps?

1(806)866-0734 is the # for Texas Speed and Performance....w/your combo, i think this TSP ported LS6 oil pump will do just fine...in fact, it sounds like u need it...hope this helps

I agree that a new GM pump if you have an early LS1 is the cheapest and best way to go, however all the pressure problems were not from the o-ring but from the releif valve sticking (unless, of course, you did a cam change and have had the stock oil pump off). It is a well known GM failure, and even dates back to 94-95 when they were first testing the LS1 in "Cormaros".

Is a ported oil pump really recommended for revving to 6600-7000 rpm?
