Unhappy cracked head bolt boss opinons needed

well i thought i was going to rebuild my forged 347 before i stuck it in to my vette until i found this. some body previous must have put the head bolt in with water in it. i filled the hole with water and it seeps out. its number two cyl bottom corner head bolt. should i have the block welded or ditch it. i have a another 99 block but it would have to be honed to my ross pistons. or i have the stock 39k mi ls1 bottom end to use along with my new oil pump heads and cam ect.

Weld it, chase threads, check cylinder roundness and piston clearance with torque plate installed. This will confirm all of the necessary measurements and validate the welded repair before completing assembly.

Can you take it back to the person you bought it from? This is probably why they sold it.

make sure it didnt crack on both sides. see how much it will be to weld it. some times its better to just get another block. you can usualy snag one for around $250, it takes effort and time but it would be cheap insurance.
