Default TFS 215's with morel lifters what pushrod length??

I am going to be ordering the morel link bar lifters for my cam/head swap this spring. Now from what I have read, you need to go with .050 shorter pushrod with the morels. So with the TFS heads requiring a .100" longer( 7.5 pushrod), with the morel lifters, would that mean that I am gonna need a 7.45" pushrod?? Should I just wait until I have it all together with a pushrod length tool to properly measure?? Would kind of like to know before hand if all possible. Thanks

Do it right and measure. You can try and do the math, but it's like installing a door in your house, just because it's 'supposed' to fit, doesn't mean it will.

Measure. Your numbers are off by the way because the Morels are taller and use a different preload. Pushrods should be you last purchase.

yeah sorta expected to hear that guys. I knew you'd be here vetttenuts. haha It will have to be the final thing bought. One thing. I have only ever done lash settings on old sbc with solid cams. Do you use a feeler gauge at all to measure lifter preload here?? Sorry not familiar with these late model hydraulic roller set ups yet. I will be all NOOB when I start tearing into the motor!

thanks

Couple of ways you can do it. Easiest is to set cylinder #1 to TDC then install rockers snug and measure zero lash. Add lifter preload to zero lash length.
