Default 317 Head questions

# 317 heads off "04" 6L on LS1 5.7L. Any valve to CW issues? Which head gasket to use, 6L or 5.7L?

Thanks,

they will bolt on with no clearance problems and you would use the 6.0 head gaskets. you will have a huge drop in compression though.

I'm thinking MagnCharger W/about 8lbs boost. Getting 9.7lbs on 5.3L now.

then the 317s are perfect for you. get some 6.2l head gaskets and it will drop your compression a little more with the added benefit of 5 layer mls.
